Cuisine American
- 1 cup of dates pitted and soaked in hot water for 30 minutes
- 4-5 tablespoons of cacao depending on how chocolatey you like your brownies
- ½ cup applesauce or nut butter if you want a more nutty/denser taste
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon honey or agave
- Dash of salt and cinnamon
- ½ cup vegan chocolate chips optional
Preheat your oven to 350.
After your dates have soaked, blend them with ¼ cup of water until they form a pasty batter. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend again. You want the final texture to be semi-moist but firm enough to hold itself together. You may need to add more water if the batter comes out too dry.
Fill the greased muffin tin ⅔ of the way up.
Plop into the oven for 12-15 minutes and enjoy!
